Free association time, as per my notes:
American Chains - KFC, Quiznos, McDonalds, Burger King, Subway! Pervasive! Relatively expensive too (plato del dia was a MUCH better deal).
Hostel - JC & Friends; Clean(ish), Responsive, Comfortable(ish). What can I say? I got what I paid for.
Walkability - Though a bit confusing at first, the city is DEFINITELY 3-D (one can walk in more than one direction and back safely and be entertained). Signage could have been better, but you get used to it.
Museum - Left a fair amount to be desired, but cute for what it was.
Parks - Wonderful for people watching and even better for just sitting, reading, and enjoying a beautiful day.
Bars - I tend not to drink when travelling alone, so I didn't really partake.
Communication - w/somewhat limited Spanish I was able to get around relatively easily.
Food - Awesome plato de dia specials, mediocre empanadas (too cornmeal-y), best. coffee. ever.
